The date for the 2012 Awards has been announced! The 3rd Awards ceremony wil be on the 21st June 2012.

The second Aber 1^st Awards ceremony was held on Friday the 11^th of June 2010 in Medrus, Penbryn, Aberystwyth University. There was strong interest with over 70 entries competing in eight categories. All those shortlisted were invited to the special awards ceremony, where the winners and any second and third places were announced.

The event is designed to acknowledge best practice and excellence, and to recognize hard work, outstanding contribution, and high standards displayed by individuals, organizations and businesses in the Menter Aberystwyth area. Each award was designed to reward a different category of outstanding performance. Up to three finalists in each category were selected through a rigorous process of nomination, short-listing and final judging by an independent panel of experts.  The main sponsor of the event was Barclays and each category was kindly sponsored by local businesses.
